I’m working as a Learning Support Teacher in Adult Education, in Victoria Australia. My students range from ages 15 to 60+ and come from all walks of life. Many of them are doing a trade qualification and others are wanting to improve their literacy and numeracy skills in order to go into further study or work.
Many of my students have had negative high school experiences and so I try hard to create a different kind of learning environment for them, one where they can explore and construct knowledge that is relevant to them.
